The National Trust have agreed to fund 50% of the cost of chainsaw training to allow Track Care members work with petrol driven chainsaws on the Karalee Dam Project (details of this project will be outlined in another event).
It’s hoped the training can be done as a Track Care group course, so participants will need to turn up on a particular date. If this can’t happen then you’ll need to attend the course on a Friday of your choosing. You will also have to purchase, at your own expense, safety equipment, like chaps, gloves, face wear etc. if you use your own saw.
More details will be sent out once the registrations have closed. Note that the date that is listed for this event is NOT the date of the course it is the tentative date.
We have a tentative date of Saturday, June 15 but we will need to confirm minimum numbers first. We will email applicants as soon as we know the date otherwise:
To take advantage of this offer you need to do;
- Register for the course on this website.
- Wait until you get approval from Track Care to go ahead.
- Register for the course directly with the course provider with the date of your choice. Download details here.
- Pay for the course in full with the provider.
- Apply for a rebate from Track Care. A course certificate and receipt will be required as proof of completion to be sent to the treasurer.
- Volunteer for the Karalee projects requiring chainsaws!
