How to Collect Data for an Event a.k.a “Doing a Recce!”

During September, October and November, I will be going out into the Wandoo National Park doing a few more Recce’s. Mostly it will be on a Wednesday or Friday (but maybe Saturday), usually with an early start, when the weather is fine! So it may be somewhat ad-hoc, but …

I am seeking registrations from Members who are interested in a close-by hands-on opportunity to up-skill to be able to do Recces and/or Recording for TCWA projects.

I will be limiting each Recce to a maximum of two “trainee” cars. There will be multiple opportunities as the months roll along, including checking out wildflower hotspots.

All that you will need for the Recce work is a mobile phone with Location activated, and a couple of light, low cost apps (prescribed): one that will allow you to take Photos that have metadata printed on the images, and another that keeps a record of where you have travelled (a tracklog).

We will need to carry, between us, the usual equipment and tools that allow us to proceed on our way along tracks and roads, but will not be clearing more than absolutely necessary (Safety First!)
