DESCRIPTION:Anzac Weekend Camping Trip. April 2024\nImportant: Limited to 3
  vehicles\n\nCampground: Mount Madden Dam (entry from Hatters Hill Road) D
 ates: Friday\, April 26th - Saturday\, April 27th.\nCamping: Caravans\, ca
 mpers\, roof-top tents\, and tents are all welcome.\nEarly Arrival Recomme
 nded: Arrive Thursday\, April 25th for an early start on Friday morning.\n
 Itinerary:\n•Day 1 (Friday): Explore East Lake King area (approx. 200km 
 with 6 stops).\nObjectives:\n-Locate and document other Rock Wells in the 
 area.\n-Identify points of interest like Gnamma Holes.\n-Gather informatio
 n for potential future restoration projects\, including condition\, size\,
  and access.\n\nActivities:\n▪Field exploration with stops at various po
 ints of interest for exploration and documentation.\n▪Group discussion a
 nd planning for potential well restoration\, considering logistics and fea
 sibility.\n▪Trip leader will assign roles for the trip (e.g.\, tail-end 
 Charlie\, drone flyer\, photographer\, etc.)\n•Day 2 (Saturday): Guided 
 tour of Ravensthorpe surrounds led by Andrew Chapman.\nImportant Informati
 on:\nThis is a self-sufficiency trip. Be prepared with your own food\, wat
 er\, medical supplies\, fuel\, and vehicle maintenance needs.\nThis is for
  4WD vehicles only. The trip leader will prioritize safety and avoid the m
 ost difficult terrain. However\, expect some Hazards.\nWalking\, climbing\
 , and pushing through thick scrub on occasion will be necessary. Those tha
 t choose not to\, can remain with their vehicle on the track.\nHazards. wi
 ll be involved\, so proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is recommen
 ded.\nUHF two-way radios are recommended for communication within the grou
 p.\nThe daily schedule may be adjusted to ensure everyone's safety and com
 fort. Listen attentively to announcements and briefings from the trip lead
 er.\nSpecial guests on the tour will provide informative talks about the a
 rea's history and significance\, please give your attention.\nTrip Goals:\
 nDocument and record information on Rock Wells for potential restoration\,
  including location\, size\, condition\, and access.\nDiscuss and propose 
 Well names (Toponyms) to the local Shire.\nDevelop a future accessible tou
 rist route showcasing the Rock Wells and their stories.\nHave a safe\, inf
 ormative\, enjoyable\, and memorable camping trip!\nPlease note: This trip
  prioritizes safety and may require adjustments to the schedule depending 
 on weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances.
