SUMMARY:Pindathuna Cottage Restoration 2025
DESCRIPTION:This project is the third stage of restoration works to Pindath
 una Cottage by Track Care.\n\nStage one involved repairs to flooring\, doo
 r frames\, window frames and stonework. The lounge / dining rooms was succ
 essfully opened up and four bedrooms and two store rooms were made useable
 .\nStage two focused on rebuilding and reglazing the sash windows to all s
 ix bedrooms\, whitewashing the three southern bedrooms\, mortar repairs to
  northern three bedrooms\, removal of concrete render from exterior of the
  building and the application of bush mix render. There was also a general
  tidy up and many other minor repairs done to the cottage and surrounds.\n
 \nStage three will involve:\n\n- Whitewash and paint the lounge / dining r
 oom and the three northern bedrooms.\n- Interior mortar repairs to norther
 n three bedrooms.\n- Continuation of the removal of concrete render from e
 xterior of building and application of bush mix render.\n- Rebuild of kitc
 hen shelving.\n- Repair doorframes in northern bedrooms.\n- Repair / repla
 ce veranda timbers and vertical iron on eastern side.\n- Paint veranda tim
 bers.\n- Construct wood storage shed from salvaged timbers and iron.\n- Ge
 neral tidy up and minor repairs as required to the cottage and surrounds.\
 n\nWorks will commence on the morning of Sunday 18 May 2025 and conclude o
 n the afternoon of Saturday 24 May 2025\, departing for Perth on Sunday 25
  May 2025.\n\nIf possible\, please plan to arrive Saturday afternoon / eve
 ning on 17 May 2025. The works briefing will be at 8am on Sunday 18 May 20
 25. Wednesday 21 May will be a rest day and we will have the opportunity t
 o explore some of the sites of Gabyon Station. As with other rangelands pr
 ojects\, if you would like to stay on for a few days to tidy up and comple
 te any outstanding tasks you are more than welcome to do so and it would b
