This project is the second stage of restoration works to Pindathuna Cottage by Track Care.
Stage one involved repairs to flooring, door frames, window frames and stonework. The lounge / dining rooms was successfully opened up and four bedrooms and two store rooms were made useable.
Stage two will continue on from stage one and will focus on:
– Rebuilding the sash windows to all six bedrooms.
– Whitewash and paint lounge / dining room and the three southern bedrooms.
– Interior mortar repairs to northern three bedrooms.
– Removal of concrete render from exterior of building and apply bush mix render.
– General tidy up and minor repairs as required to the cottage and surrounds.
Works will commence on the morning of Sunday 4 August 2024 and conclude on the afternoon of Saturday 10 August 24.
If possible, please plan to arrive Saturday afternoon / evening on 3 August 2024. The works briefing will be at 8am on Sunday 4 August 2024. Wednesday 7 August will be a rest day and we will have the opportunity to explore some of the sites of Gabyon Station. As with other rangelands projects, if you would like to stay on for a few days to tidy up and complete any outstanding tasks you are more than welcome to do so and it would be very much appreciated.

Bring: Work clothes and suitable PPE. Personal tools. Food. Water.
