The next opportunity to spend a productive and reviving day out in the Wandoo National Park is coming up on Sunday 7th June.
A possible activity is for the group to “road test” an Excursion Trail for introducing other Club Members to The Wandoo later this year (Spring) – the roads and tracks; the terrain and woodland types; past industries supported and Aboriginal influences; trees and flora; granite outcrops and wetlands, and more …
Recces of wherever we drive will be ongoing, with Trees On Tracks (TOT’s) either cleared or recorded for removal; items of rubbish, car bodies, and missing or damaged road signs registered.
Where we meet and what we end up doing will revolve around the number of actual participants and the number of vehicles, and will be announced on the Friday evening prior.
It is a given that we will have our PPE, chainsaws, rakes, drag chains and crowbars with us, for those who have them. Sturdy footwear, gloves and eye protection for others. Cameras and other recording devices as well.
Of course, we stop for morning tea and lunch!
