Track Care has a long association with restoring Narloo Homestead. So this year, Track Care and the Four Wheel Drive Club of WA are jointly planning to visit the former pastoral lease, Narloo Station in the Yalgoo Region (not Gnarloo Station on the coast north of Carnarvon). Please note: you will need to be self sufficient in terms of water and ablutions.
The trip is still in the planning stage, but it will not be all work. Plenty of interesting activities are already on the horizon such as:
🚙Working bee and minor repair work on the Narloo homestead and facilities – so that’s the work bit!;
🚙Surveys of the station tracks to determine suitability for 4WD use;
🚙Theatre Under the Stars – The premier outdoor screening of the movie ‘Road to Ruin’ presented by Geoff Lewis of Seriously Series. There is a small fee to cover this fabulous event: $10/person or $25/family;
🚙Photography workshops by Westralian Images;
🚙Camp oven cooking and Travel Buddy Oven workshops;
🚙Ian Glyde (State Manager WA & NT Hema Maps Pty Ltd) will workshop navigation devices / products;
🚙Austravel Safety Network members will talk about their not-for-profit High Frequency (HF) Radio Club, which provides an affordable recreational HF radio network for its members that can establish vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle to base communications (i.e. radio-telephone). This service can establish verbal communications with anyone connected to an in-service landline or mobile phone.
