At Track Care we go about our business in a quiet way, getting on with what needs to be done and leaving the project for others to enjoy. We do this time and time again without fuss, year after year. But every now and then, someone recognises our efforts and without prompting, tells the world about what a great job we do.

For those who have been 4 wheel driving in Australia, you would probably know the name Ron Moon. He is a well respected 4WD journalist, travel writer, guide book author, magazine editor and tour operator and I bet you could count on one finger the places he hasn’t been in this big land of ours.

Ron writes a regular piece for 4×4 Australia and I was keen to see what he had to say about the CSR in the Dec 2024 Edition. I don’t know how many times he has travelled this challenging track but suffice to say he knows a bit about it.

The article, like he usually does, goes into the history, the sites to see, the preparation and useful safety tips to help travellers tackle this challenging track and how look after the place too. So I was surprised and grateful the see that he gives a big thumbs up to Track Care for the well restorations and toilet installs that we have done over the years.

The overwhelming reason why people become Track Care members is to “give back to the community” and to, “go 4 wheel driving with a purpose”. No one has said that they join for the congratulations but as an organisation, the free publicity that this gives to Track Care is priceless.

Thanks Ron.
