The CSR is one of Australia’s longest track, enjoyed by thousands of 4WDrivers, motorcyclists and even those on foot each year, putting their skills to the test, immersing themselves in this wonderful outback and learning about our rich heritage spanning back thousands of years.
But’s it’s a difficult place to keep maintained due to its remoteness, harsh environment and sadly all too often the selfish behaviour of some, so it’s great to see members of the public doing the right thing and going beyond to help out.
This is the case with Nick & Louise Woodley and John & Jan Russell from Victoria who were enjoying their journey northward. While at Well 3 they discovered that the toilet was getting full and like the sign says on each of the Track Care installed toilets if you empty them for us you get free membership for a year. So that’s what they did.
Towing the trailer to a suitable location, Nick and John dug a deep hole, emptied the contents and took a photo of their efforts. They then put the trailer back and continued on their journey knowing that they have helped those other travellers on the stock route have an enjoyable journey.
Well done. Membership approved.
